I would like to apologize for not writing on Monday. Today was our temple trip so we have a shortened p-day today.
It's good to hear it's raining back home. It sure needs the water. It has been raining here non-stop for 2 weeks now. I thought I would have gotten sick of the rain, but not yet, I am loving it. I especially love it when I hear it pouring on our house. It gets pretty loud at times, the rain here is intense, sometimes I think the house is going to collapse under the pressure!
It has been another whacky week here, our Elders quorum president has just been released and a new one was put in. (Ironically the one put in was my ward mission leader from Molokai!) It was good for our Elder's quorum president to be released. The stress was really getting to him. The new presidency talked a lot about their plans to build the branch. I am hoping having some fresh blood in the branch can get people excited.
1. Me and Elder Brown were tracting one day and we knocked on this really fancy house. An older gentleman answered and told us to get the "F%$# off his property." That was an interesting experience. I appreciate moments like that because it gives me a chance to exercise Christlike love instead of anger.
The work is moving along here, it is difficult finding people to teach, but we are seeing small tender mercies as we strive to progress the work in Honomu. This is a tough area, the people are stubborn but I am grateful for it. The people here are blunt, but I appreciate it!
Hope to hear from y'all next week,
Aloha
Elder Esplin
